George Leonberger:
George Leonberger is a veteran teacher with many awards including the H. Dudley Wright Fellowship. His expertise is in astronomy for beginners and advanced students. He can give earth science and general science teachers a great deal of astronomy activities that work well in the classroom.

Karen Kalumuck:
Karen has been with the Exploratorium's Teacher Institute in San Francisco, CA, since 1994, where she has developed an exciting hands-on, inquiry based teacher enhancement program for middle school and high school Biology and Life Sciences teachers. She holds a doctorate in genetics and has extensive research and teaching experience which she uses to bridge the gap between science for the scientist and science for students, teachers, and the general public. She has written numerous articles for teachers and the general public. Her soon-to-be-available book, Exploratorium's Human Body Explorations (Kendall/Hunt, April 2000), includes 28 activities that use the human body as a means to hook students on science.

Jamie Larsen:
Jamie taught science for public and private schools in grades 6-college. He has won numerous national awards for science teaching including an NSTA TAPESTRY grant for his Slam Dunk Science Project, NSTA Screen Report award for his Alien Autopsy-A Case for Skeptical Inquiry, and a USWest Connecting Teachers grant for his Nature's Apprentice Project. As a fellow at Tufts University's Wright Center for Innovation in Science Education he was responsible for organizing conferences ranging from Frontiers in Science to Frontiers in Ethnobiology as well as developing an award winning web site: Slam Dunk Science. He has written activities for the PBS series Scientific American Frontiers and NOVA and is currently a Senior Curriculum Developer for a non-profit science and math curriculum development group.

Ronnee Yashon:
Ronnee is a nationally known expert in teaching bioethics in the science classroom. She has taught in secondary, undergraduate, graduate and law school. She was awarded the Presidential Award for Outstanding Science Teaching and has been honored as the outstanding biology teacher in Illinois.

Her case study methodology for introducing bioethics into the curriculum uses simple, personalized and current scenarios that involve the student in decision making.

Eric Muller:
Eric is a science educator and teacher of teachers at the Exploratorium, a museum of science, perception and art located in San Francisco, CA. He is also a former fellow of Tufts University's Wright Center for Innovation in Science Education and was a high school science teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. His latest book "While You're Waiting for the Food to Come" is a collection of science activities you can do at a restaurant or at home. He can be heard monthly on NPR's Sounds Like Science program.

Wilton Wong:
During the past 23 years, I have served as a teacher of science at three different high schools and have been science department chair at two of them.

There have been a number of awards that I have been lucky to be honored with which include: the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching from NSTA and NSF, California Educator Award from the Milken Family Foundation and the State Department of Education, Outstanding Teacher Award from the Exploratorium, J. Russell Kent Award for an exemplary program from San Mateo County, and a TAPESTRY grant award from NSTA.

As an active member of the teaching community, I have also served on the Standards Committee of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and now work with West Ed in the development of the assessment for national certification of science teachers; the co-chair of the California Science Teachers Association state wide conference; the George Lucas Education Foundation in the development of multimedia educational products; the state committee on assessment development in science; and now the director of the Capuchino Science Center.
